Better Hong Kong Movement Association - Mission Statement
The Better Hong Kong Movement Association is a non-sectarian, non-political, non-profit organization. The purpose of the Association is to take a clear and pragmatic approach to understanding the problems confronting Hong Kong, and, through the real understanding of the root causes of those problems, to develop a practical and effective solution for the betterment of Hong Kong.
Problems can appear to be complicated because we fail to perceive the real underlying causes and therefore are unable to execute the real solution. We waste time and effort because we fail to target the root cause of the problem, allowing the problem to drag on and on.
Problems also fail to be resolved because we rely on experts or professionals, but these experts, because of vested interests, can further complicate the situation and are often the least likely to come up with a real solution to the problem, problems which they often helped to create.
The ultimate solution must come from the people/the citizens, individually, willing to take responsibility for what happens to Hong Kong. To that end, the Better Hong Kong Movement Association will not only present views and offer solutions, but encourage citizens to engage these same problems and offer their own views and practical solutions.
We believe that a truly effective solution should embody the following attributes:
Complete understanding of the problem
Perception of the ultimate source of the problem
Clear solution plan to deal with the problem
Support action from the people
